Formed three years ago, by Angela Wooi, the award-winning Anaconda are twelve of the most daring women in belly dance. They pride themselves on their versatility with styles ranging from traditional Oriental and folkloric Egyptian belly dance, Romany, Bollywood, Gothic, Fantasy and fusion to Anaconda’s own unique brand of theatrical belly dance.

They perform mainly in the South East but have also appeared at London’s ‘Planet Egypt’ and at ‘Gothla UK’ Leicester in both 2010 and 2011. Their recent sell-out show in Margate, 'Twilight of the Damned', was a Halloween special featuring vampires, ghosts and zombies from the darker side of their repertoire.

Angela Wooi is creative director and choreographer for two dance troupes Anaconda and The Brides of Dracula. She likes to challenge people’s expectations and preconceptions about belly dance and enjoys the challenge of being the first to do things. She produced and co-directed the ground breaking dance production “The Bride of Dracula” at the Hazlitt Theatre in 2008, and has recently been engaged in producing a belly dance horror film “Teatime in the Asylum” due for release in early 2012. She is a popular and inspiring belly dance teacher with classes at several venues in Kent.

For an entertaining and memorable experience, book Anaconda to dance at your event or celebration.
